Power Point Teacher Survey
Let me know what you think :)
You asked a very important question-what do techers do with the data collected...anything but let it collect dust in return?? If you can show your teachers how to effectively use all of that data, you will have accomplished a great service to your district.
ReplyDeleteI am very interested in your year-end survey. I am not familiar with the acronyms ATM, MGM,DCA, or DRA. Are these data reports, or surveys? Surveys are going to be key evaluations for me, and I would love any ideas you have on appropriate survey content. Let's continue to share ideas-
These are our district assessments:
ReplyDeleteAlief TAKS Management System (ATMS)
Measuring Growth in Math(MGM)
District Common Assessments(DCA)
Development Reading Assessments(DRA)
Measuring Growth in Litarecy Survey(MGLS)
I would love to continue sharing information. I will post my survey questions when possible.
Your plan sounds very interesting. I will be most interested to hear about the changes and adjustments made as a result of the data. This is a very important project. As a middle school math teacher, I use data constantly. I was surprised to find out last week that most of the teachers on my campus don't even know how to access the data - SCARY.
ReplyDeleteFor data collection within your project I would suggest a pre and post survey. You could include asking about teacher confidence level in using data, knowledge of ways to adjust instruction, how often teachers are using data to inform instruction.
We have a good data management system, but, in general, our teachers don't use it unless I bring it to PLC.
ReplyDeleteYour other posts have given great ideas; one more might be to include how the teachers are sharing the data with students. Are they setting class, group, or team goals? Great project!
Incidentally, I tried the chart format, too, but mine also posted in linear form like yours. My site supervisor liked the line-by-line better anyway!
