Changing Lanes

Have you ever thought that you had things all figured out? You knew exactly which direction that you were going and which lane you were going to drive-in. Then all of a sudden you have to change lanes. Well that is how I felt at the end of this weeks assignment. I had planned the perfect action research project or so I thought. It was something I knew a lot about and it would be easy to research as a part of my present responsibilities. But as I listened to the professors on the videos; analyzed chapter two of Leading with Passion and Knowledge; reflected on my previous classes and discussed the project with my supervisor I decided to change lanes. I realized that the action research project must be relevant to my school, accessible for me to research and just a little out of my comfort zone to help me grow as a leader.

  1. Wow--this is a great reflection on week two work! I did find the videos and readings helpful in understanding more about how to formulate an action inquiry project. Since I had to confer with my site supervisor via e-mail, that also helped me gather my wonderings into words.
I find I'm out of my comfort zone a lot lately!
    Thanks for a great post!
